Welcome to the Job Jobbed "Looking for Workers" section.
If this is your first visit or if you are generally new to on-line recruitment, we would suggest that you print off these notes and use them in conjunction with the comprehensive advice notes in this section. The "Looking for Workers" section comprises of numerous different fields and options, not all of which may necessarily be relevant or available to you. We will talk you through each of these sections in some detail. If your specific question has not been answered here, please feel free to contact us via e-mail at jobs@jobjobbed.com with a full description of your problem.

Firstly, before you use this facility it should be recognised that this website is available to both Recruitment Consultancies and to Company Recruiters and depending on your anticipated frequency of use and general recruitment requirements, it may be appropriate for regular users to open an account facility with us rather than make payments by credit card on an individual basis. If you would like to discuss this further or receive details on our schedule of charges please e-mail jobs@jobjobbed.com with the nature of your interest together with your contact details.

Looking for Workers - adding your job vacancy

To familiarise yourself with this section, we recommend that you firstly review the registration process completed by candidates. This will give you a better insight as to what details and options are available to your target audience. Once you are ready to add your vacancy we would suggest that you draft the specific details of your vacancy onto a word document or similar, in order that you may subsequently simply copy and paste the information on to the relevant section. The information that you will need will include:

Vacancy reference number, Job Title, Geographic Location, Employment Type - permanent/Temp/part-time etc, Salary Details including benefits, Hourly Rate (if relevant) Skills Keywords (choose up to 9) Brief Description of Job (limited to XXX characters) Full Description of Job including tasks, duties, responsibilities, essential / desirable skills and experience, hours of work and start date, Recruiter's name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, fax number, application closure date. You will also need to decide if this is to be considered a "Hot Job" in order to provide extra prominence and focus to your vacancy posting. This is available at a small extra charge.

You will be prompted to "add a new vacancy" and as you select this option, the information that was previously specified will need to be input into the appropriate section. Where your vacancy is appropriate to multiple sections, such as IT and Telecoms, you are able to select up to 4 categories from the selection available, which will allow candidates to reveal them as they search. Similarly, candidates who have opted into the Vacancy Express service will also be advised of your vacancy during our regular mail-outs.

The vacancy reference number should be a unique reference that allows you to identify the vacancy applied for when the candidate forwards their application. This will be automatically included in the subject box of the subsequent e-mail although should also be referred to should a candidate utilise a different application method.

We have included multiple choice selection boxes to speed up the posting process and we encourage you to use these sectors carefully to avoid receiving inappropriate applications. These sections refer to location, on target earnings, hourly rate and industry sector. In addition we invite you to add up to 9 "Skills Keywords" to further filter applications. These could include industry specific terms, qualifications or actual job skills such as "Java" "CAD" "Welding" "HGV" "Blue-Tooth" "Porsche" "3G" or "Sage". These will be searchable by Candidates and will enhance your vacancies listing where appropriate.

The Candidate search menu displays a selection of jobs at a time displayed in most recent date order. Once displayed the candidate can navigate forward and backwards through the jobs viewing brief job details before reviewing the full description. There is therefore a need for you to write a catchy and concise job summary for the candidate listings combining enough relevance and information to attract the attention of prospective applicants. The full description is then viewable where you can elaborate upon the summary providing a better overview of the opportunity, environment, responsibilities and essential candidate abilities / skills. You can also add details of personal development and career advancement opportunities together with specific salary and benefit details to add further value to your job. (Advice on writing job advertisements and job descriptions can be found in our comprehensive advice section.)

You will also be invited to add your company's details for candidates to reply to including e-mail and postal addresses as well as opting in to the "Vacancy Express" - jobs by e-mail function and "Hot Jobs" Options. Once this section has been completed simply select the "Submit Vacancy" option and that's all there is to it - Job Jobbed! Once the vacancy has been submitted you can elect to either "Post another Job", "Search CV's On-line" or "Return to Client's Menu" for further options.

Hot Jobs

"Hot Jobs" are vacancies that have been earmarked for higher prominence by the recruiter and tend to stand out from the many other vacancies displayed. Clearly, not every advertisement can be categorised as a "Hot Job" and we would suggest that these be limited to positions which are notoriously difficult to fill or require specific or unique skills or abilities. We have also found that jobs that require an urgent response can benefit from being categorised as a "Hot Job" and while there is a nominal extra cost involved, sometimes the heightened profile achieves the desired effect. It should also be remembered that candidates have the option to search "Hot Jobs" as though they are a category in their own right. We regret that it is not always possible to guarantee that your job will be a "hot Job" as we do not wish to dilute this facility. We will endeavour to adopt a fair approach to allocation and will retain a circa 1:7 ratio wherever possible.

CV Database on-line

We limit access to our on-line CV Database to recruiters who have subscribed to this service as part of their recruitment package with us. Access is generally on a monthly basis and allows the recruiter to view CV's on-line through searching the candidate's selection of Industry Sector, Preferred Geographic Location and Skills Keyword. This search facility can utilise one or more of these factors to select candidates although for speed of response and relevance, we strongly recommend that you focus as closely as possible on your requirements before selecting. It is our experience that selecting a category such as IT and London without a specific keyword will not be the most beneficial use of this facility.

CV's will be presented to you in batches of 10 and will appear in most recent date order. This will be the most recent update or amendment date in order to take account of candidates that modify their expectations. You will be presented with a table of candidate summaries containing name, date of submission, selected financial banding / hourly rate and a brief opening statement regarding the candidate's skills and expectations. You will be prompted to view the full CV which will appear in notepad format for uniformity and can also choose to e-mail the candidate directly from this section should you wish to.

Resume Express - Candidates via e-mail

This is a service which is available to our clients on a subscription basis and is generally only applicable to clients that have a regular and on-going requirement for new staff. Job Jobbed has a secure server and comprehensive mail facility which allows recruiters to receive regular batches of the most recent candidate details via e-mail. With an increasing number of agencies and a fiercely competitive marketplace, fast access to fresh candidates can prove to be the lifeblood of a business. To utilise this service, select the industry sector, geographical region and skills keyword that is most appropriate to your requirements and submit them in the relevant boxes on this section. Submit your selection to commence mail-outs.

Vacancy Express

In the same way that recruiters can choose to subscribe to receiving the Resume Express, those "looking for work" can also choose to receive their own "Vacancy Express" jobs via e-mail service. While posting your vacancy you will be asked to opt into this service which will include details of your position being mailed to candidates that have expressed an interest in this industry category.

Psychometric Profiling

Recruitment, search and selection can be a difficult and challenging activity for both the agency consultant and the company recruiter alike. As recruitment techniques have become more sophisticated, many modern recruiters have successfully integrated psychometric profiling into their recruitment processes allowing a better insight into the capabilities and potential of their selected candidates. These modern techniques have previously proved to be prohibitively expensive and complex for many more modest companies who cannot justify the time and significant investment involved to utilise such a comprehensive selection and interview tool.

Due to the experience of several of our Senior Advisors and our association with many of the UK's leading experts in psychometric profiling and behavioural analysis, we are able to provide the additional service of on-line psychometric profiling and assessment to both recruiters and agencies that would otherwise never have access to such a powerful and informative assessment tool.

To avail yourself of this facility at exceptionally preferential rates, please e-mail us at jobs@jobjobbed.comfor further information.
